Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the age of 61. Cherished partner of Karl Olsen. Proud mom of Holly Elise McQuarrie and Jerrett Naslund “adopted mom” of Maeghann Marsden. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Paula Day (Richard), Jackie Day-Tintinalli (Leo), and Peggy Day. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Ted (former Police Chief of Exeter) and Marion Day, siblings; Rosallie Langford, and Ronald Day, niece Elise Zeehuisen and nephew Lance Langford.
A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Wednesday, May 29th from 3 – 5 PM. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery.
Donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. Cathy and I were fast friends and neighbors living directly across from each other growing up on Richmond Street in Hensall. She was my closest friend and confidante, and I could always count on her for a hearty laugh, dances in the street (while belting out our favorite song “Cecilia”), and many spur-of-the-moment adventures involving skipping ropes.
