Our dad, Jeremiah Patrick Michael was reunited with the love of his life, Heather, and his son, Joseph, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the age of 79. While at a communion service at Goderich Place in Goderich, he passed in the presence of the Lord immediately after receiving Jesus in the Eucharist. Cherished husband of the late Heather (Dubrick) Cronin (2021) for over 53 years. Loving dad of the late Joseph, Dave and Carole-Michelle, and Mike and Amy. Proud grandpa of Dafydd, Owen, Malina, Davita, Evan, and Adelina; Alyssa (Aidan), Tyler (Katie), Kyle (Maria), Liam, Emmy, and Sam and great-grandpa of Sophia, Blake, and Shiloh. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Mary Smith, Stephen and Nancy Cronin, Karen Cronin, Joanne Regier, Dennis Dubrick, and Jane Wilkie. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Eileen (Eckert) Cronin, brother Jim Cronin, brothers-in-law Leo Smith, Dave Regier, and Ross Wilkie, and sister-in-law Gayle Dubrick.
Jerry was a proud farmer at heart, with a lifelong love for his livestock and the land. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting toy tractors and attending auctions in search of unique finds. Together with Heather, he enjoyed exploring the back roads of Huron and Perth counties, often ending at the beach in Goderich to share their love of the ships and sunsets. They enjoyed visiting parts of Canada and their trip to Ireland to retrace his roots. Guided by his faith, he built a life centered around the things that mattered most: family, farming, and the values that connected them all.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, SEAFORTH on Sunday, September 7th from 2 – 5 PM.
Jerry’s Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 22 Victoria Street, SEAFORTH on Monday, September 8th at 11 AM. Interment St. Columban Cemetery.
Donations to the Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation or the St. Columban Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).
