COX: At peace in the loving company of family at the Stratford General Hospital on Friday, July 28, 2023, Sandra “Sandi” Joan (Cunningham) Cox of Grand Bend, age 81. Beloved wife, partner and best friend of Donald “Don” T. Cox. Loved mother of sons Stuart (Anna) and Justin (1999) and cherished grandchildren Rachel and Matthew (Stuart), Marcus and Siena (Anna). Fondly remembered by brothers Ken of Port Elgin and Bob of London, nieces, nephews and their families as well as the many distant Cox families. Among Sandi’s many interests and accomplishments were her love of gardening, pets, crafts, especially quilting and her success earning her honors degree in English Language and Literature at Western University. Sandi was special. She understood the power of language and listening – when to intervene and when to rise above and simply take a different path. The family is saddened with the loss of her wonderfully positive and loving character yet are at peace knowing her pains are no more. Cremation has taken place. Interment Pinery Cemetery, Grand Bend. At present no formal service is planned. The family is thankful for the exceptional care Sandi received both at the Grand Bend Area Community Health Centre and the Stratford General Hospital ICU. Arrangements entrusted to T. Harry Hoffman and Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, Ont. If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to World Vision of Canada, Thunder Bay Field Naturalists or a charity of choice will be appreciated.
