COOPER: Stephen Douglas “Steve” of Exeter, formerly of Kippen

January 30, 2025 By Haskett Funeral Homes 184 Condolences

COOPER: Stephen Douglas “Steve” of Exeter, formerly of Kippen

Passed away unexpectedly at South Huron Hospital on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the age of 62. Cherished husband of Sue (Campbell) Cooper for 37 years. Proud dad of Blair (Sarah), and Morgan (AJ). Loving brother of Barb Ferguson (Doug), and Brian Cooper (Tracey). Dear brother-in-law of Gary Campbell (Jan), Marg Foster (Jim), Betty Bowerman (Art), Bonnie Rowcliffe, and Sharon Campbell (Bob). Fondly remembered by his mother-in-law Shirley Campbell and many nieces and nephews. Steve was predeceased by his parents Doug and Carole (Richardson) Cooper, his father-in-law Arnold Campbell, his sister-in-law Wendy Campbell, and his nephew Tyler Cooper.

Steve was a loving husband, gentle father and a proud Grandpa to be. His love and pride for his family and friends was one of a kind. Steve would show up without being asked and provide you with help without expectation. Steve loved golfing, camping, curling, and he was master chef of the grill. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge for 30 years. He loved travelling around the world with Sue, the love of his life and his best friend. Steve was creative, giving and always up for a good time. โ€œYesโ€ was his favourite word when asked to go on a new adventure. In 2022 Steve retired and was quite content with his decision. He never looked back and enjoyed every day in retirement.

Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Tuesday, February 4th from 10:30 AM โ€“ 12:30 PM. A private family memorial service will be held. Cremation with interment Exeter Cemetery.

Donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation, Jessicaโ€™s House, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by family.
