At Exeter Villa on Saturday, October 31, 2009, of Exeter and formerly of RR 1 Hay in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Grace (Penhale) Merner. Dear father of Alan and Leanna Merner of RR 4 Kenilworth, Jane and Don Newman of Hay Swamp and Chris Merner of RR 3 Dashwood. Dear grandfather of Tim and Craig Merner. Dear brother and brother-in-law of George Merner, Eldonna and Jack Rowswell and Maxine and Allan Kleber all of London. Predeceased by his parents Eldon and Doris Merner, brothers Lorne and Bruce, sisters-in-law Barb Merner and Ruby Masnica, and step-mother Gladys Merner.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Tuesday 3:30-5 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th at 11 AM with Irene Richardson officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery. Donations to South Huron Hospital or Exeter Villa would be appreciated by the family.

I’m going to miss you Uncle! Now who am I supposed to ask if I can go swimming in your big pool? I will never forget that along with many other memories we’ve shared. I know you’re doing a lot better now and, that you’re probably watching over us all. Love and miss you but, I’ll never forget you! Rest In Peace.
