Suddenly, at his late residence on Thursday, December 25, 2003 Charles I. Whalen of RR 1 Thorndale in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Ruth Whalen. Dear father of Valerie Whalen and Margaret and Ken O’Quinn all of London and John Whalen of Woodstock. Dear grandfather of Jessica and Jenna and Waylen and Stephen. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Lavina Swanson of Lavonia, Michigan and Noreen and Louie Thoroworth of Vineland, New Jersey. Predeceased by brothers William, James and Joseph and sisters Veronica and Mary. Friends may call at the C. Haskett and Son Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name of Mary Church, 149 King Street N., St. Marys on Monday, December 29th at 11 AM with Father Chris Bourdeau presiding. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lucan. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Prayers will be said in the funeral home Sunday at 3:45 PM.
