CHAMBERS: Peacefully, at Craigwiel Gardens, Ailsa Craig, on Friday, May 20, 2016, Arthur “Art” Robert “Bob” Chambers, formerly of Grand Bend and London, age 94. Beloved husband of Lenore Jean (Jones) Chambers of Grand Bend. Loved father of Janet Chambers of Grand Bend and the late Robert Wayne Chambers (1976). Bob will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Janet (Bain) Chambers, brothers A. Keith Chambers, J. Kenneth Chambers and J. Gordon Chambers. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. and Thursday May 26, 2016 at 10 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 498 service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow, Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London at a later date. Bob served overseas with the Lincoln & Welland Regiment during World War II and has been a lifelong member of the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 498 (Grand Bend). If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Royal Canadian Legion – Poppy Fund or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
