
At Parkwood Institute, London on Saturday, December 7, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family at the age of 68 years old, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories. Ken is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Charlene (Stewart) Carruthers, with whom he shared 46 beautiful years together. He will be deeply missed by his children, Tara and Andrew Ward of Ilderton, Chad Carruthers and Wendy Jaques of Poplar Hill, and the late Marissa (2021), as well as her husband, Steve Cesarone. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Decklan, Rylyn, Marshall, and Lawson, who brought immense joy to his life. Dear brother to Den and Shelly Carruthers of Parkhill, Karen and Pete Wilson of Lucan, and Kevin and Rebekah Carruthers of Ailsa Craig. He will also be fondly remembered by his in-laws: Sharron and Heinz Jansel of London, Beverly Trist of Burlington, Shirley Stewart of Ilderton, Michael Stewart of Ilderton, Brian Gailling of British Columbia, and Sheila and Brian Kelly of Nairn. Ken will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Earl (2017) and Irene (2021) Carruthers; his in-laws, Art (2018) and Frieda (2009) Stewart; and his brother-in-law, Jerry Stewart (2009).
A celebration of life will be held at the Ilderton Community Centre, 13168 Ilderton Road on Monday, December 16th, all are welcome to gather at 1PM for a service at 1:30PM, with a chance to greet the family immediately following. Cremation with a family graveside service in the spring at Telfer Cemetery.
If desired donations to St. Josephโs Care Foundation – Palliative Care Program (Parkwood Institute) or LHSF โ Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.








We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).
