Peacefully, at Queensway Rest Home, Hensall, Robert Bruce Cameron, of Hensall, passed away on May 28, 2013 in his 89th year. Predeceased by his life partner Robert Bruce (Bob) Allen (2000), and his parents Robert J.(1970) and Annabel (Foster)(1971) Cameron. Survived by Bryce and Sharon Allen and daughter Jennifer and Mark and Robin Allen and children Alansa and Lucius. Robert was born in Hensall on Nov. 22, 1924 and farmed for many years with his father on the 2nd Concession and was church organist at Exeter United Church and Trivett Anglican Church, Exeter. Robert collected and repaired many pipe organs and clocks during his life.
At Robert’s request, there will be no funeral home visitation and cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service be will conducted at Hensall United Church on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 11 a.m.. Ian O’Neill and Elly Dow officiating. Interment of ashes in Hensall Union Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Huron County SPCA or a charity of one’s choice
