Passed away with family by his side at LHSC – University Hospital, London on Friday, April 24, 2026 at the age of 58. Dear brother of Cathy Towle. Loving uncle of Lisa and Josh Burke, Ryan and Megan Towle, and Saffron and Zach Hill. Great-fun-uncle of Marshall, Hutton, Isla; and Bentley. Predeceased by his sister Ginny Dukeshire, brother-in-law Harry Towle and his parents Carman and Betty Lou (Smith) Cable.
Jim dedicated over 20 years as a cement truck driver with McCann’s, where his strong work ethic and pride in his work were well known. He brought joy to many by attending Christmas parades in his beautifully decorated McCann truck, earning numerous awards over the years. Jim loved dogs and trucks, and took great pride in maintaining his personal blue GMC 1500 with meticulous care. He also enjoyed the finer cannabisseur lifestyle. Jim will be deeply missed by his McCann family and the many trucking friends he made throughout the years.
Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at Exeter Cemetery at a later date.
Donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or SCAAR – London in Jim’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
