BRINTNELL: Mary of Lucan, formerly of Granton

Peacefully, with family by her side at LHSC – University Hospital, London on Sunday, February 26, 2017 of Lucan and formerly of Granton in her 79th year.   Beloved wife of the late J. Russell Brintnell (2012). Dear mother of Jim and Julia Brintnell of Exeter, Ron and Leanne Brintnell of Calgary, Rob and Sandi Brintnell of Brinsley, and Dan and Deb Brintnell of Oakville. Dear grandmother of Ryan, Lee and Amber, Jordan and Jesse, and Chelsea; Troy, Jared and Erin; Robyn and Jeff, and Tyler and Sarah Jo; Thomas, Steven, Michael and Abby; and great-grandmother of Bentley and Brighton.  Dear sister-in-law of Helen Ryan of Crediton, Ron Rose of Mitchell, Bev and Marg Brintnell of Exeter, and Margaret Curtis of London. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents Jack and Alma (Dietrich) Ryan, sister Clara and her husband James Ducharme, brother Bud Ryan, sister Shirley Rose, and brother-in-law Len Curtis. 

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  CWL prayers will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon at 1:45 PM.  The Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Patrick Church, 32922 Richmond Street, Lucan on Thursday, March 2nd at 11 AM with Father Ross Bartley presiding. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lucan.

Donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation – Jessica’s House or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

    When the Craig family and Brintnell family used to get together many years ago, there was an abundance of boys….!! Despite being the only girl, I remember your mom always being extra kind to me. She always had a craft or project, or a special little “something” for me to do, while he boys played. All of these years later, I remember her for that.

    It was our intention to visit her, however the road to hell is paved with good intentions, as it’s said……and we never did get doing it. Thought of her often. Always enjoyed our chats when we used to bump into one another out somewhere. We will miss her too.

    I am saddened to here of Mary’s passing , she was a Wonderful Lady whom I got the pleasure to see her every week while I did her hair for more years than I can remember. I have been missing her since she’s been sick but still got the odd chance to do her hair and catch up on what was going on with her & her family, which was her whole life she Loved to share what everyone was doing. Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
