Our Da, was a man who could win the hearts of many through his smile, his laughter and his song. His life was rich with many things while his love for his family and “his Ireland” were second to none. Leaving behind all that he knew in 1966 to bravely put forth into motion a new life for he, the love of his life and his young family, Ireland never left his heart and soul. He was all that he needed to be to everyone that loved him – he asked for very little and gave as much as he could to us all. His smile could warm the coldest of hearts, his voice in song drew tears, while his stories were always comprised of fond memories of a life well lived and loved. Our loss is indeed Heaven’s gain. Our superhero has retired his cape – and well deserved it is – yet we know the love that existed here between us will grow forevermore. Love you, Da – Goodnight and God Bless xo.
Many thanks go out to the staff at Huronview for their genuine kindness, love and support of Billy during his stay there. Cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of Billy’s life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations to Jessica’s House would be appreciated by the family.

Oh my, heaven has certainly gained an angel an impish one, perhaps. Rest in peace, Bill. I’m sure you and Mae will find a dance floor. You left Ireland: but that enjoyable Irish brogue came with you. I loved listening to it, meeting Bill and Mae, watching them dance and knowing their children through school.
Sympathy, prayers and hugs to those left to mourn his passing.

My sincere sympathies in the passing of Billy. Early memories of working with him at PPL. Everyday, he would stink up my office with his sandwiches with yonions(onions). He made me laugh everyday. Years later, I met up with him and May at a wedding. I was 9 months pregnant. May rubbed my belly and told me I was having a boy. She was right. Those two were the ultimate “love birds”. Rest assured, Billy and May are having a whiskey and smiling down on their awesome family. Big hugs to everyone.
