Passed away suddenly, and tragically on Friday, February 9, 2018 in his 42nd year. Cherished love, husband, teammate and best friend of Jodie (Loos) Brazeau. Champion father and friend to his son Matthew and Princess Banana-Belle Allison. Beloved son of Michel and Jeannette. Dear son-in-law of Jan and Paula Loos. Loving brother of Pat Brazeau and Caroline Doran (Murray, Walker, and Olivier). Dear brother-in-law of Jason and Tania Loos (Jonathan and Jasmine), and Andrew and Jessica Damen (Gabriel, Sarah, and Joel). Roch will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends, including his family at Marcus & Associates, Hoare Dalton. Roch will be sadly missed, and never forgotten for his natural talent in putting his family and his friends ahead of himself. There was never a shortage of hugs, kisses or “I love yous”, nor a shortage of food or drink when at Roch’s place. Though we feel we have fallen to pieces, we know we have not broken.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Friends and family may gather at the Lucan Community Memorial Centre, 263 Main Street, Lucan on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 10:30 AM for a celebration of Roch’s life that will begin at 11 AM. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Lucan and District Lions Club would be appreciated by the family.

I knew Roch Brazeau for the better part of 20 years; almost half my life. That makes me a lucky man. There is no doubt that he and I were different. For the first few years, I’m pretty sure he thought I was a weirdo. He was probably right. We were different, but we had more than enough in common to sustain a real friendship. The most important touchstone that we shared was the incredible family that we both married into. We were the ‘son-in-laws’. I liked sharing that status with Roch. I will always remember sitting across from him during Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. I will remember how he described every dish as ‘awesome’. I will remember laying patio stones in Birr and shingling the roof with Roch and Jason at 34 Monterey Crescent. I’ll remember backyard bocce ball tournaments and late nights around the campfire. I will miss our times together. I’ll miss the way his eyebrows rose above his glasses when I made him laugh. I’ll miss the French lilt that crept back into his voice after a few drinks. I will miss his enthusiastic handshake. I will miss the way Uncle Roch loved my kids. He took them on adventures and bought them ice cream. On more than one occasion, he carved time out of his schedule to watch my youngest play three periods of novice, house league hockey. He was a great uncle, brother and friend.
