On March 7, 2025, Gerald Boersma was received into the arms of his Lord and Saviour at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Annie (Damsma) Boersma (2022) for over 51 years. He will be sadly missed by his children Ed and Christie Cosman of Simcoe, Dave and Amy Boersma of Exeter and Norma and Al Vanderlaan of Exeter. Especially cherished by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren Erik Cosman, Lisa and Jared Wells (Logan), Jenna and Lachlan Jackson (Kit); Jared Boersma, Tyler Boersma, Drew Boersma, Kelsey Boersma; Danielle and Joe Dykstra (Carter), Kevin Vanderlaan and Keira Wiersema (Brody) and Rachel and Lucas Kaumanns. Dear brother and brother-in-law to Jannie Elgersma, Peter and Audrey Boersma, Ida Damsma, Lientje Kroodsma, Tinie Damsma and Maryke Brandt Damsma all of the Netherlands. Fondly remembered by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Sjoukje Branderhorst, Sandra Damsma, Peter Damsma, Johannus Kroodsma, Bert Branderhorst, Steven Elgersma, Hank Damsma, and Andy Damsma.

Visitation will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, Exeter on Tuesday, March 11th from 6 – 8 PM. Gerry’s funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, March 12th at 11 AM with Rev. Zekveld officiating. Private family interment Exeter Cemetery.
