It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elmer at the South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 of Zurich in his 89th year. Dear husband of Helma (Clausius) Beierling for 67 years. Loving father of Ron and Catherine Beierling of Zurich. Beloved grandfather of Jenna and Tim Thornton (Ottawa), Stacey Beierling (Scotland) and her fiancé Scott Gregus, Michael Beierling (Zurich) and Riley Rooseboom. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Herbert Beierling of RR#2 Zurich, and Dorothy and Douglas Stephen of Exeter. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Norman and Lorne and sisters-in-law Betty, Marjorie, and Gladys and Helma’s siblings and their spouses.
Friends may call at Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street, N, Zurich on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Monday, November 6th at 11 AM with Pastor Nadine Schroeder-Kranz officiating. Interment St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Zurich.
Donations to St. Peters Lutheran Church, or Jessica’s House – South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
