Passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18, at the Clinton Public Hospital, at the age of 65. Deeply missed by his siblings Bob (Maxine), John (Linda), Kathy, Nancy, and Peter. He will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by his parents Ivan and June, his brothers Tom, Charlie, and Jim, and by his sisters Betty and Judy.
Doug was a true outdoorsman at heart. He enjoyed being outside, especially when fishing or working on cars, two of his favourite pastimes. He found joy in the things he loved and will be remembered by those who knew him for his unique personality, his kindness, and the memories shared together.
Keeping with Doug’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at a later date.
Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Doug’s memory.
