Our family was lucky to have lived only one concession away from the Bannister farm. Our kids grew up with the Bannister clan, and Audrey and Gord always welcomed a visit from the kids any time. Audrey was a huge part of our lives. In true “Audie” fashion, she dug in deep and tried her best to fight her biggest battle yet.We will all miss her greatly, but hold on to the countless memories of a truly wonderful friend she was………… This one is for you Gord……………….. “Get in the shower Gord!” Love the Dewan family

    September 23, 2013 at 11:09 PM

    To my second family,
My heart hurts…as much as I didn’t want her to suffer, it’s so hard to let her go. While I sit and reflect on my many memories I have, and hold them dear, I know that my last year of visits, phone calls, and notes will be some of the best memories I have. Not only was she my Aunt Audrey, she was like my second Mom…she took me into her home, kicked my ass when I needed it, helped me out when I needed it, taught me life lessons, and shared some of the greatest milestones of my life. Words cannot describe how much I love her and how much I will miss her. In the words of Rodney Atkins song “family” which I sang and quoted to her many times…everytime I hear the song I smile and think of our “crazy” family…”a few new babies, the same old crazies…I’ve known ’em my whole life…and they still amaze me…I didn’t choose ’em…wouldn’t want to lose ’em…cause you gotta love ’em…man they’re family…its hard to say good bye. I love you all. We lost a great Aunt, but heaven gained one hell of an angel.
Thinking of you all…you’re all my “crazies”. And I would not change that. If Shawn and I can do anything, please do not hesitate to call.
    Much love,
    Beverly
