Passed away at South Huron Hospital on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at the age of 88. Beloved Husband of Alma (Hern) Ballantyne for 64 years. Cherished father of Brian (Heather), Jim (Robin), Shirlee (Allan), Diane (Chuck). Adorned grandfather of Cory (Jessica), Courtney (Ben), Connor (Meagan),Suzanne (Nathan), Ryan, the late Chad, Tammy (Chris),Brad (Lindsey), Winona (Dan), Charlie, Willie and great-grandfather of Peyton, Cameron, Raelyn, Jaden, Hudson, Scarlett, and Blake. Dear brother of Helen Kints. Predeceased by his brother Gerald and brother-in-law Eric Kints.
Ross took over the family farm when he was 17 years old. They farmed until 1987, moved to Exeter then they went into the plastic manufacturing business and continued until 2012 while Ross worked for Nabisco in that time. He served as a counsellor for Usborne Township from 1984-1985. In his retirement, he enjoyed his time spent with his family in the house that they built.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Friday, December 8th from 3:30 – 5:30 PM. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at the Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
