Peacefully at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on Saturday, November 4, 2017 of Granton in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Jim Bakker (2014). Dear mother of Victoria Bakker and Mat Kelly of Granton, and Ben and Kim Bakker of Cambridge. Dear grandmother of Marcell, Savannah and Jason; and Gillian. Loving great-grandmother of Dorian. Dear sister-in-law of Betsy Bakker of London, Corrie Koetsier of Hamilton, Veronica Bakker of St. Thomas, Martina and Leigh MacMillan of PEI, Walter and Cindy Veenstra of Brampton and Hendrika and Jella Fekkes of Jordan Station. Rilla will be sadly missed by her cousins Jim and Corrie Bakker, and the Hoekstra families. Predeceased by sisters-in-law Lien, and Adriana, and brothers-in-law Adriaan, Pete, Martin, and John. Rilla was the Postmaster in Granton for 32 years.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 8th at 10:30 AM, with Pastor Paul Vollick officiating. Cremation with interment Granton Cemetery.
Donations to the Canadian Angelman Syndrome Society would be appreciated by the family.
