BAKER (LAWSON): Margaret (née Wurm) of Exeter, and formerly of Zurich

At the Exeter Villa, on Thursday, March 23, 2017 of Exeter, and formerly of RR 2 Dashwood in her 89th year.  Beloved wife of the late Gerald Willis Lawson (1977), the late Kenneth Wilbert Baker (2014).  Dear mother of Gwen and Jim Rohde of Mitchell, Allen Lawson and Pat Champion of St. Marys, Kay Clarke of Grand Bend, Ed and Fran Lawson of Arkona.  Marg will be remembered by the Lawson and Baker families.  Missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  Dear sister and sister-in-law of Edith Campbell, and Clarence and Lois Wurm all of Exeter.  Predeceased by her parents Alvin and Margaret (Clark) Wurm, sisters Emma, and Grace, and brothers Edgar, Harold, Gerald, and Melvin. 

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main) on Monday, March 27th from 12:30 – 1:30 PM, where a funeral service will be held at 2 PM with Pastor Nadine Schroeder-Kranz officiating.  Interment Exeter Cemetery. 

Donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation, or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Zurich would be appreciated by the family.

    As I write this message, I am reminded of the value of mixed blessings. On the one hand, Marg had died, on the other hand, her life was a great blessing to so many, including our family. As you remember her life, I am thankful that someone let me
    know of Marg’s passing. I too loved her dearly and treasure the friendship we
    shared over so many years.

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
