AVERILL: Peacefully, at Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall, Sunday, December 6, 2009, Marion Cora (Layton) Averill, formerly of Crediton, age 81. Predeceased by her husband William “Joe” Malcolm Averill and her son Donald Averill. Loved grandmother of Wendy Bierling, Derek Bierling, Jeffrey Averill, Steven Averill and Kyle Cambell. Dear sister of Frank (Edna) Layton, Edna Sandor and John. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 commencing at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Elly Dow officiating. Interment Crediton Cemetery. Marion and Joe operated the Stardust Restaurant in Crediton. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
