June 6, 2024 By Haskett Funeral Homes 8 Condolences

ANDERSON: Heather Allison (Pollock) of London

Surrounded by family, Heather Allison Anderson (Pollock) passed away peacefully on June 5, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospice in London, just a week shy of her 89th birthday. Born on June 12, 1935, in Montreal, Quebec, Heather was the proud daughter of Private Kenneth Pollock, who served as part of the 1st Battalion Black Watch throughout all the years of WWII, and mother Ada Florence Pollock (Hewitt).

Heather was the beloved wife of Ross Anderson for 64 wonderful years. She was a dedicated and loving mother to Glenn Anderson, Heather and Ian Trotter, and Scott Anderson, all of London, and Donn and Susan Anderson of Ottawa. She was a cherished grandmother to Ryan, Caleb, and Melissa Trotter, and Liam, Olivia, and Evan Anderson, who brought immense joy to her life. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Barbara Pollock, Wallace and Jean Pollock, and Joan Pollock.  She is predeceased by her sister Joan Noseworthy, brothers Kenneth and David Pollock, and brother-in-law Tom Noseworthy.

Heather was a voracious reader, proud homemaker, talented cook, and big baseball fan growing up near Jarry Park in Montreal. Known for her quick wit which has been lovingly passed on to the next generations of her family. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the 4th floor nursing and support staff at University Hospital, Dr. Spicer, Dr. Liu, Dr. Fricot and finally the compassionate staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for their care and support during Heather’s final days.

Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Tuesday, June 11th, from 10-11AM, where a service will be held at 11AM with Charles Skeete officiating. Family interment Woodland Cemetery, London

Donations may be made in her memory to St. Joseph’s Hospice or the Canadian Children’s Literacy Foundation.

    A legendary woman.

    Thoughtful, strong-willed and sharp-witted.

I’ll miss her prime rib dinners and birthday cakes with wrapped up toonies inside.

Always kept us laughing at family dinners.

I hope to live half as full of a life as Nana did.

Glenn and Ross… my sympathies on Heather’s passing. I didn’t know her very well but any time we talked she seemed like a very caring and friendly person and I enjoyed our chats. Glenn always had some interesting little anecdotes about his mother that he shared with me when I picked him up for golfing or curling. Through Glenn, I began to know about her love of cooking and baseball. She will be sorely missed by any that knew her.
