Passed away peacefully at Chartwell Wynfield Nursing Home, Oshawa on Monday, June 23, 2025 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of late Gottlieb Walter Anderegg for 50 years. Cherished mother of Carolyn, and Christina. Dear sister of Karen Morewood. Wendy lived many years of her life on a beautiful farm near Ilderton on Twelve Mile Road. She enjoyed art, interior design, figure skating and skiing. Wendy will be remembered for her interesting life and the detailed and eloquent stories she told.
Wendy was born in 1941 and spent her younger years in Toronto, where she spent time with her special grandma Winifred (Sturdy) Cox. Wendy also spent time with her aunt Gwendolyn (Cox) Fremlin in her art studio, where she was often a model for her illustrations in the 40s and 50s. Although Wendy spent a short time in California, she made her way back north and took interior design courses in New York City.
Wendy met Gottlieb Anderegg skiing on the mountains near Calgary while he was on a work trip from Switzerland. They were married in 1970 in Calgary and again in Switzerland, where they lived before moving back to Canada to Montreal.
Cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest at Little Wood Cemetery, Ilderton, located adjacent to the farm where she lived.
Special thank you to the Anderegg family; Walter, Rosa, Ursula, Carmen, Danny, and Binta; and the Cox family; Gerry, Bernice, and Bradly.
