Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Tuesday, November 29, 2005 A. E. Key Carpenter, of Exeter Villa in his 88th year, born February 2, 1918 in Quebec City. ย Beloved husband of the late Mary Areta Carpenter (1995). ย Dear father of Ronald and Marilyn Carpenter of Mt. Brydges, Robert and Lynn Carpenter of Elliott Lake, Diane Biernaskie of B.C. and ย Sharon and Joseph Yurcich of Clear Creek. ย Dear grandfather of Rhonda and Jay; Erin and Kerri; Jennifer; and Nicky. ย Key was a member of the Lebanon Forest Lodge #133 A. F. & A. M., Exeter, Royal Canadian Legion R. E. Pooley Branch #167 ย and a very active member of Trivitt Memorial Anglican Church. ย Key began his lifelong military career at the age of 18 serving in London, England during World War II. ย Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at Exeter Cemetery. ย A memorial service will take place at Trivitt Memorial Anglican Church, Exeter on Sunday, December 11th, as part of the regular Sunday service. ย Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. ย Hopper Hockey Funeral Home, 235-1220 entrusted with arrangements. ย
