Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Tuesday, November 29, 2005 A. E. Key Carpenter, of Exeter Villa in his 88th year, born February 2, 1918 in Quebec City. Beloved husband of the late Mary Areta Carpenter (1995). Dear father of Ronald and Marilyn Carpenter of Mt. Brydges, Robert and Lynn Carpenter of Elliott Lake, Diane Biernaskie of B.C. and Sharon and Joseph Yurcich of Clear Creek. Dear grandfather of Rhonda and Jay; Erin and Kerri; Jennifer; and Nicky. Key was a member of the Lebanon Forest Lodge #133 A. F. & A. M., Exeter, Royal Canadian Legion R. E. Pooley Branch #167 and a very active member of Trivitt Memorial Anglican Church. Key began his lifelong military career at the age of 18 serving in London, England during World War II. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at Exeter Cemetery. A memorial service will take place at Trivitt Memorial Anglican Church, Exeter on Sunday, December 11th, as part of the regular Sunday service.
