At Craigwiel Gardens Nursing Home, Ailsa Craig on Sunday, May 24, 2009 Robert M. “Pete” Boxer formerly of Aylmer in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Edie (Greswell) Boxer. Dear father and grandfather of Craig and Nancy Boxer and their children Jamie, Jill and Kelly of Lucan, Cathy and Steven Byrd and their children Andrew and Meagan of Bolton and Jeff and Paula Boxer and their children Shiyan, Grace and Rudy of Ottawa. Dear brother of Barbara (Nan) Boxer of Kingston and brother-in-law of Norma Greswell of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan and Jerry Greswell of Leamington. Pete retired from Imperial Leaf Tobacco in November 1987 after 42 years of service. He was also a proud veteran of the RCAF. Pete’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Andrew Whynot, the staff at Craigwiel Gardens Nursing Home and the Dialysis Unit at the London Health Sciences Foundation. A memorial service will be held at the Craigwiel Gardens Auditorium, 221 Main Street, Ailsa Craig on Saturday, May 30th at 11:30 AM with Rev. Sue McCullough officiating. Cremation with interment Aylmer Cemetery. Donations to the London Health Sciences Foundation – Dialysis Unit (747 Baseline Road East London ON N6C 2R6) would be appreciated by the family.
