BONK: Peacefully, surrounded by love, at Jessica’s House Residential Hospice, Exeter, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, Jeane (Brander) Bonk, of Grand Bend, age 100. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Bonk. Cherished grandma of Kevin Bonk of Blue Mountains and Michael and Allison Bonk of Etobicoke. Treasured great-grandma of Jaxon and Lily Bonk. Remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Frederick William and Earla Marie (Evans) Brander, sons Robert and James Bonk, great-granddaughter Hailey Bonk and sisters Vina June Dunlop and Winnie Brander. At Jeane’s request, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. Throughout her life, Mrs. Bonk has been a dedicated and successful entrepreneur. She owned and operated several beloved businesses in Grand Bend, including the well-known White House Bar and Restaurant, which she purchased at the age of 72. Later, at 89, she opened a ladies’ fashion boutique that she managed until two years ago. If desired memorial donations (payable directly) to the Arthritis Society Canada or charity of choice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood.
