GREEN: Mary “Kay” Kathleen (Willimot)

GREEN: Peacefully, with family by her side at Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, Mary Kathleen “Kay” (Willimot) Green formerly of Grand Bend, age 93.  Beloved wife of the late Howard Ivan Green (1976).  Loved mother and mother in-law of Howard “Howie” & Pat Green of Dashwood and Marianne Ducharme of St. Joseph’s.  Loved Grandma of Natasha & Chris Fisher, Rebecca & Dave Meinen, Shawna Ducharme (Chris Saxton), Lukas Ducharme and great-granny of Joey Fisher, Isaac Meinen & Luella Ducharme. Dear sister in-law of Walt Vidler, Elaine Willimott, Linda Willimot & Pat Veal. Remembered by many nieces nephews and their families and her former son in-law Fred Ducharme.  Predeceased by her parents John & Rebecca (Burke) Willimot, siblings Margaret Massender, Jack Willimott, Doris Vidler, Tom Willimot and her in-laws Lois & Bob Davidson, Ron Green, Clifford “Kip” & Dolores Green, Ross Veal, Fran & Doug Wallis and Dave & Sandra Green and  Cecil Massender. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 3 to 6 pm. and where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11 am. Interment In Grand Bend Cemetery. Kay was a founding member of the Grand Bend Lioness Club, was also active in the Grand Bend community with numerous organizations and with her husband Howard built and operated Green Fisheries in Grand Bend, Kay was also a lover of many feline pets.  If desired memorial donations to Blue Water Rest Home and Sarnia Humane Society  or charity of choice.

    Howie, Patty and Maryann and families…
    I just heard of Kay’s passing..I have many great memories of her and green acres..I was cleaning my cupboards last week and still have the dish she gave us for a shower present almost 40 years ago..she was a kind and beautiful woman..

    Dear Pat & Howie, we are so sorry for the loss of your Mother Kay. I remember buying fish on River Road & Kay always had suggestions on how to cook properly. I was in the Grand Bend Lioness Club with Kay . Lots of fun times with the group ! Cherish all of your memories & know Kay is remembered. Cathy and Bill Dinney

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
