My sympathies to Missy and her family.
I met Barb when I worked at BWRH. She was a delightful lady; her presence was encouraging and feisty. She certainly had her own mind. Even though she had some very hard things in life, she always maintained a strong faith. Two favourite scriptures were important to her: The Lord’s Prayer and the Blessing in Numbers 6. Every time I saw her, we would end by praying these 2 scriptures together. It gave her comfort, especially when she lost her son. I am so very honoured to have known this grand lady and feel quite confident in thinking that she’d want me to end this condolence with this Blessing to all of her loved ones.

Dear Missy, Glenn and family
I am so sorry for your loss- words that are so hard to say and mean so much. Missy, your Mom was such a special person, the years that I worked at The Havasu were very impactful. Your Mom was a huge part of that. I often find myself thinking of her- especially when I walk into a store and I don’t get a Hello! Only people who worked at The Havasu will understand! I will always remember her with a standard Poodle beside her and a big smile on her face. All our Love to you at this time.

Missy & Glenn, Jess & Andrew, Kelly & Owen, Rebekah & Jacob; and extended family;
Our sincere condolences in the loss of your dear Mom & Grandma. Barb was always a great hostess. One of the things I admired about her was she was feisty but fair. You never needed to wonder where she stood on any given topic! I enjoyed my visits with Peter and Barb over the years and more recently Barb at Blue Water Rest Home. It was an honour to help her celebrate her 90th there.
You all remain in our thoughts and prayers.
Hugs,
Mark & Julie Heimrich, Sarah, Scott & Spencer.

Sending love and healing energy to Missy, Glenn, Jessica, Kelly and Rebekah, family, and all that loved her.
‘Aunt’ Barbara was clearly such a strong, positive, and loving influence in my mother, Cair’s life, a lifelong cousin bond that was palpable, despite a 13 year age difference.
Barbara always had such a strong spirit, and although its been some years since I have been in her presence, I remember her engaging energy well…along with her smirky smile, wit and big laugh.
Some of my earliest memories are of receiving ‘hand me downs’ of Missy’s clothes, in perfect condition, perfectly pressed. It was like Christmas came early to get those boxes.
A wonderful lady, who lived a wonderful life and whose powerful, generous spirit lives on in those who knew and loved her.
I appreciate the opportunity to donate to my local animal rescue, which does amazing and tireless work, in her honor.
