HARTMAN: Michael Thomas “Mike” Hartman, of RR3, Dashwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Friday, March 18, 2022 in his 73rd year. Loved husband of Dara (Goodale) Hartman for over 53 years. Father of the late Michael (1974), Leah and Jeff Bowen, Rebecca and Jason Sinning, Beth and Mike Mitchell and Jason “Bud” and Melanie Hartman. Proud Papa of Grace, Emily; Isaac, Aiden; Ava, Graham, Clint; Domino, Amelia, Lydia and Grant. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Barbara Corriveau, Tillman and Muriel Hartman, Richard Hartman, Martha and Jim Ruggaber, Ellen and Maurice Rau, David and Kathy Goodale, Robert and Mary Goodale. Remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Alphonse and Dorothy Ursula (Zettel) Hartman, sister Mary Ann Flanagan, brothers-in-law Bernard Flanagan, Harvey Corriveau and sister-in-law Joanne Hartman. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood with visitation on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 3 to 7 p.m. with Parish Prayers being offered at 7 p.m. Masks are appreciated but not mandatory. The Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Mount Carmel on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11 a.m. The Bishop John Corriveau Celebrant. Interment Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, LHSC – University Hospital ICU or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

I might not be able to be there in person on Thursday so I thought I would write you a little note. Sorry to hear we lost Mike. I know there is nothing I can say to make the pain go away. I will say thank you for sharing Mike with us. He showed us a lot that we used to live. All about cars, how to cut wood, how to grow and raise chickens, cut and wrap venison and plenty more. I’m sure he touched a lot of families but ours will remember him for a long time. I’m sure Brett will show him the ropes now. I will be thinking of you and your family on Friday!!!
