EDWARDS: Unexpectedly, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Sunday, August 22, 2021, Maria Hester (Schering) (Walker) Edwards of Dashwood. Beloved wife of Dave Edwards of Dashwood and the late Terry Walker (1990). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Jason Walker (Vikki) and Kylene Walker and her husband Dallas Gow. Cherished grandma of Cory Walker, Adelaide, Charlotte and Langdon Gow. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Tony Schering, Jack Schering, Elly and Morris Collver. Remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her dad Arie Schering, mom Jenny (Maastrict) Schering, brother Harry Schering, sister-in-law Pat Schering, sister Audrey Cole and brother-in-law Harold Cole. At Maria’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, time and location to be announced. Maria was a long time employee of London Life. She also volunteered for many years helping with the Grand Bend Rotary Club and the Autumn Indulgence. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. The family would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the London Regional Cancer Clinic and the South Huron Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Maria and our family. If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to the South Huron Hospital, Exeter; Jessica’s House Residential Hospice, Exeter or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Maria was such a big part of Autumn Indulgence year after year. She did so much for Rotary to make the event a success. Her “can do” attitude will always be missed. She never said no or failed to finish something with a smile and a professional result. Working on Autumn Indulgence will not be the same with out her!
