SMITH: Robert “Bob” Walker

SMITH:  Peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia, on Monday, January 18, 2021, Robert “Bob” Walker Smith, of Grand Bend, formerly of London and Tobermory, age 80.  Beloved husband of Linda Ruth (Crozier) Smith.  Loved father and father-in-law of Scott Smith of Port Alberni, B.C., Todd and Samantha Smith of London and step-father of Leanne Young and Brian Swim, William and Jun Evanson all of London, Andrea and John Milner of Markdale.  Cherished grandpa of Jordynn Smith, Shan Evanson, Alex Evanson, Hayden Evanson and Mariah Milner.  Dear brother-in-law of Monica and Bill Crozier of Nova Scotia.  Remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families.  Predeceased by his parents Robert Stewart and Jane Adele (Larin) Smith, brother Doug Smith.  Bob worked for many years at Kelloggs in London.  He loved his family and the time he spent in Tobermory in the summer and in Texas in the winter.  At Bob’s request, cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, time and location to be announced.  Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood.  If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to the Children’s Hospital, Huron Shores United Church, Grand Bend or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
