DALLAS: Surrounded by the love of her friends and family, at Bobier Villa, Dutton, on Thursday, July 12, 2018, Rene Elizabeth (Whitney) Dallas of Dutton, formerly of Sarnia, age 70, passed away peacefully. Beloved wife of the late James “Jim” Samuel Dallas (1988). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Beth Preszcator and Charlie Cooper of Wallacetown, Sheila and Gord Hamilton of Exeter, the late Nicole Dallas (1988) and Brian Dallas of London. Cherished grandma and great-grandma. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Elaine and George Ducharme of RR 1, Dashwood, Heather Whitney of Grand Bend, Marilyn Diaz and Neil Moore of Brampton, Joan and Eric Wareham of London. Remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. She will be remembered fondly by the customers of Rene’s Bakery and her dear friends Lenny, Alex and Gord. Predeceased by her parents Mark Willard and Mildred Shirley (Jones) Whitney and brother Halley Whitney. At Rene’s request, cremation has taken place. Friends and Family are invited to a Graveside Interment Service to be held at the Exeter Cemetery, on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Sarnia District Humane Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
