
CLARKE: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, surrounded with the love of his family, on Saturday, May 26, 2018, Harold Gordon Clarke of Grand Bend, formerly of Scarborough and Curling, Nfld., age 69. Beloved life partner of Pearl (Benson) French. Dear father and father-in-law of Jeannette & Ian Howie of Halifax, NS., Linda & Wael Mohamed of Ottawa. Dear brother of Linda Smith of Moncton N.B., Yvonne & Doug Brown of Oshawa, Brenda & Gary Preston of Corner Brook, Nfld. and Howard & Norma Clarke of Angus. Lovingly remembered by Pearlโs family; Ron & Erica French of Millbrook, Dennis & Janet French of Sutton, Dianne & Alan Neil of Maderia Beach, Fl., Donna & Jim Ferron of Caledon, David & Catalina French of Millbrook, Wanda French of Pickering, Vivian & Bob Cavers of Dorchester, Cindy & Tom Hart of Lagoon City, Pearl & Derek Bess of Pickering. Loved and will be missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Gordon George & Mina Frances (Payne) Clarke, brother Harvey Clarke and brother-in-law Bruice Smith. A Celebration of Haroldโs Life will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, Ont. Cremation, with Interment in the family plot at Mount Patricia Cemetery, Corner Brook, Nfld. at a later date. Harold was a long time employee of Pilkington Glass and in his retirement worked for the London Free Press, Can Gro, Exeter and Macโs Milk, Grand Bend. If desired, memorial donations to South Huron Hospital Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated.
