WALPER: Peacefully, at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich on Thursday, August 10, 2017, Willis Alvin Walper, of Varna formerly of RR 1, Dashwood, age 80. Beloved husband of Joanne Elaine (Hood) Walper. Loved father and father-in-law of Karen and Wen-Zhi Luo of London. Cherished grandpa of Clarissa Luo, Hilary Luo and Vivian Luo all of London. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Evelyn Johns of Windsor, Mervyn and Audrey Walper of Grand Bend, Jean and Hielke Berends of Hensall, Norma Walper of Grand Bend, John and Alma Hood of Whitby, Diane and Barney McCann of London and Janis Ingram. Remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents George and Marine (Devine) Walper, brother Lloyd Walper, sister Gladys Peck, sister-in-law Elva Walper, brothers-in-law Harold Peck and George Johns. At Willis’ request cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of life will be held. Interment Grand Bend Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Alzheimer’s Society of Huron, South Huron Hospital Foundation: Jessica’s House or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
