GOW: Melvin Roy

GOW: Peacefully, at Stratford General Hospital, Stratford on Saturday, February 4, 2017, Melvin Roy Gow, of Grand Bend (RR 1, Dashwood), age 75. Beloved husband of Margaret Doris (Whaling) Gow. Father of Bruce Gow, Patty and Murray Hachman of Elmira. Step-father of Mark Osment and partner Shelley Hall of Sarnia, Tracy Osment of Kitchener, Lisa and Paul Runstedler of Grand Bend and Dianne Osment of Grand Bend. Loved by his grandchildren, Justin, Amy, Kaitlyn, Mark (Kristen), Sarah, Bradley, and one great-grandchild on the way. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Doug Gow and Linda Gattie, Nelson and Margrit Gow, Sandra Gow all of Grand Bend, Dennis Gow and Tracy Beard, Steve and Lynda Gow all of Kitchener, Richard and Colleen Gow of Waterloo, Linda and Larry Karges of St. Clements. Melvin will be remembered by his mother Suzanna (Kropf) Gow-Barritt of Grand Bend and his many nieces, nephews and their families. Mel will be forever remembered by his many wonderful friends at the Grand Bend Legion and Turnbull’s Grove. Predeceased by his father Robert Melvin Gow. At Mel’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Mel’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 498, Grand Bend, on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
