McDOWELL: Peacefully, at Country Manor Retirement Facility, Thedford, Monday, August 1, 2005, John S. McDowell, formerly of Grand Bend, age 84. Beloved husband of the late Frances Patricia (Pearsall) McDowell (2000). Dear father and father-in-law of Douglas and DiAnna McDowell of Utah. He will be missed by his grandson Caleb McDowell. He was a wonderful uncle to Bev (Small), Pat (Green), Deb (Cabana), John, Cam, Sandy, Bob, Jim and Steve McDowell. Dear brother of Hugh McDowell of London. Predeceased by brother Bill McDowell, grandson Sean McDowell, parents Hugh and Edna (Stearns) McDowell. A Memorial Service will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, Thursday, August 4, 2005 at 1 p.m. The Rev. Harry Disher officiating. If desired, memorial donations to the Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
