BECHLER: Peacefully, at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich, Friday, June 10, 2005, Ivan Charles Bechler, of Goderich, formerly of RR 1, Zurich, age 77. Beloved husband of Gladys Ann (Oesch) Bechler. Loved father and father-in-law of Gerald and Wilma Bechler of Coldstream, Marlene and Bob Hamilton of Forest, Ruth and Erv Pfaff of Lucan. Loving “Poppa” of Joseph and Jeremy Bechler, Jason and Erin Hamilton, Kristen and Hilary Herron, Skye and Erin Pfaff. Dear brother-in-law of Donald Scott of Clinton and Dorothy Etue of London. Remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Joseph (1967) and Alma (Brenner) Bechler (1972), sister Nola Mae Scott (1998) and brother John “Harry” Bechler (2005). Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Saturday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.; where the Funeral Service will be held Sunday, June 12, 2005 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Ann Krueger officiating. Interment St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Zurich. If desired, memorial donations to the Clinton Public Hospital, Community Nursing Services, Town and Country Support Services or charity of choice would be appreciated. Mr. Bechler was a long time employee at Cook’s Elevators, Hensall and farmed for 48 years on the Stanley-Hay Townline before retiring to Goderich.
