DESJARDINE: Peacefully, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, on Saturday, June 21, 2003, Idena Violet (Hord) Desjardine, of R. R. #1, Grand Bend, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of Elmer Desjardine for 52 years until his death on May 11, 1994. Idena helped Elmer on the farm and taught in area schools for 26 years. Survived by her sister-in-law Kathaleen Hord of Strathroy, nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Wesley and Arvella (Daley) Hord, step-father Harry Hutchinson, sister Evelyn Hendrick, brother Alvie David Hord, step-brother Stacey Hutchinson and half-sister Hazel Weston. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Tuesday evening 7 to 9 p.m.; where the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at 11 a.m. Pastors Art and Evelyn Krueger officiating. Interment Grand Bend Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to 100 Huntley Street, Church of God, Grand Bend, Cancer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated.
