
MacKENZIE: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Wednesday, June 4, 2003, Dougald Gordon MacKenzie, M.I.M.A., A.A.C.I.,of Exeter, formerly of Grand Bend and Sarnia, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of G. Elaine (Raison) MacKenzie, having just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Loved father of Jane MacKenzie Kenzie of Markham and Peter โPeteโ MacKenzie of Edmonton. Loving grandpa of Ashley Elizabeth MacKenzie of Edmonton. Predeceased by his son David Ian MacKenzie (1983), sisters Helen MacKenzie, Janet Anderson and brother-in-law Hugh, brothers Logan MacKenzie, Stewart MacKenzie and sisters-in-law Margaret and Eva. A Celebration of Dougaldโs life will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, on his birthday, Saturday, June 28, 2003 at 11 a.m. Tracey Whitson-Bahro officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cancer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated. Dougald was a Pilot Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII, a member of No. 403 Wing Air Force Club in Sarnia. He retired as Deputy Assessment Commissioner for Lambton, Essex and Kent Counties in 1978.
