
RIDDELL: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Wednesday, March 12, 2003, following a courageous battle with cancer, Betty L. (Whaling) Riddell of Grand Bend, in her 69th year. Beloved wife for 47 years of Doug Riddell. Loved mother of Steven and Susan Riddell of Brantford, Sandra and Ian Reid of Caledonia. Doting and cherished grandmother of Maddison, Mitchell and Rose Riddell, Stuart and Sydney Reid. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Sally Steinburg of Niagara Falls, Frank and Anne Whaling of Ancaster, Len and Donna Whaling of Grand Bend, Irv Heimpel of Stratford, Helen Whaling of Burlington, Jack and Anita Riddell of Dashwood. Loved and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, their families and her many friends. Predeceased by her parents Gerald and Margaret (Stinson) Whaling, sister Peg Heimpel, brother Bill Whaling, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill Steinburg, Gerry and Beth (Riddell) King and her in-laws Keith and Dorothy (Spong) Riddell. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.; where the Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2003 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Harry Disher officiating. Interment St. Marys Cemetery, St. Marys, Ontario. If desired memorial donations to the Grand Bend United Church Memorial Fund, London Regional Cancer Centre or charity of choice would be appreciated.
