HAIST: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Monday, April 8, 2002, Arthur Gerald “Art” Haist, of Grand Bend, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Betty Ann (Dietz) Haist. Dear father of Peter and Brenda Haist of Grand Bend, Ruthann and Doug Redmond of Forest, Cameron Haist and dear friend Susan of Grand Bend. Loving grandpa of Warren and Kristie Haist, Brianne Haist, Matthew Redmond and Kristen Redmond. Dear brother-in-law of Helen Geiger, Glen and Shirley Dietz, Gloria Allen, Joan and Ray McKinnon and Carol Dietz. Loved by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Martha (Gaiser) Haist, brothers Earl, Gordon and Royal Haist and sister Lyla Hendrick. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Tuesday afternoon and evening; where the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2002 at 11 A.M. The Rev. Betty & Art founded and operated Betty & Art’s Snack Shop and IGA store in Grand Bend for many years.
