RUSSELL: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Thursday, September 18, 2014, Ronald “Ron” Merle Russell of Grand Cove Estates, Grand Bend, formerly of Brampton, age 70. Beloved husband of Sharon Marie (Stokes) (Sayers) Russell and the late Diane Elizabeth (Beers) Russell (2007). Loving father of Ronald (Rosemarie) Russell of Brampton, Amy (Bill Kozak) Russell of London, Gail (John) McDowell of North York, Gary Sayers of Grand Bend and Michelle (Iain) Hoadley of Burlington. Cherished Grandpa of Jason (Denise) Mitchell, Shannon (Jeff) Banville, Kaitlin McDowell, Joshua McDowell, Brittany Sayers, Christian Sayers, Avery Hoadley and Ethan Hoadley. Treasured Great-grandpa of Brianna, Nolan and Rachael Banville, also remembered by his brother Bill Mathers. Ron will be missed by his canine companion Peaches. Predeceased by his parents William and Bertha (Burgess) Russell and brothers Bill Russell and Bob Russell. At Ron’s request cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood on Friday, September 26th, 2014 at 11 a.m. Refreshments immediately following at the Grand Cove Estates Clubhouse. Pastor Charles Gingerich officiating. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at North Bramalea United Church, 363 Howden Blvd, Brampton, on Saturday September 27th at 1 p.m. Reverend Jamie Holtom Officiating. If desired memorial donations (payable by cheque) may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
