BOSSENBERRY: Suddenly and unexpectedly at his home in Jasper, Alberta on Friday, September 5, 2014, Robert Bruce Bossenberry, age 67. Beloved son of the late Harry Robert and the late Clara Irene (Russell) Bossenberry. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Carol Bossenberry and Ralph Wallace of Woodstock, Pamela Bossenberry of Florida and Paul Bossenberry of RR 1, Dashwood. At his family’s request, cremation has taken place. A private interment at Grand Bend Cemetery will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood.

Bobby ..my cousin I remember from my childhood in the 1950s. Bobby, his brother Paul and his sisters Pam and Carol and several others from the clan Bossenberry who also lived in Grand Bend Ontario. As I recall, we were typical idiots playing pranks on the girl cousins, sometimes us boys would scrap until somebody got hurt and cried. My cousins parents images are near indelible in my mind .. Harry B, Alvin B, Bill B … and their homes in the Bend where we would roam from one to other during vacations and visits from my home town of Stratford ON. Many years ago when I learned that Bobby was living on the west coast..Vancouver.. I set out in 1970 to find Bobby in Vancouver.. I dont recollect exactly what I had as to address or phone number .. but I found Bobby and we hung out toether for a short time. The years and the geographic distance had wa
shed out our childhood bonds… we both being in our early 20s. I never did track him down in Jasper … I guess I should have, as there were many times I passed throught there on my drives up to the Yukon. Fair thee well my friend, may your rest be soft warm and filled with light and joy.
