HAIST: Peacefully at Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich, on Thursday, July 10, 2014, Betty Ann (Deitz) Haist, of Grand Bend, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Arthur “Art” Gerald Haist (2002). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Peter and Brenda Haist, Ruthann and Doug Redmond, Cameron Haist and dear friend Susan all of Grand Bend. Cherished grandma of Warren and Kristie Haist, Brianne Haist, Matt and Becca Redmond and Kristen Redmond and fiancé Mark McColl and great-grandma of Madison Haist, Grace Haist and Timothy Redmond. Dear sister of Glen Deitz, Gloria Allen, Joan McKinnon all of Zurich and sister-in-law of Carol Deitz of Grand Bend. She will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Milton and Myrtle (Ortwein) Deitz, sister Helen Geiger and brother Peter Deitz. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood with visitation on Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. Peter Challen Officiating. Interment Pinery Cemetery. Betty and Art founded and operated “Betty & Art’s Snack Shop” and the IGA Store in Grand Bend for many years.
