TRUEMNER: Peacefully, at his residence, on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, Roger Birk Truemner, of Grand Bend, age 86. Beloved husband of Dorothy Isobel (Pethick) Truemner. Loved father and father-in-law of David Truemner of Vancouver, B.C., Paul (Mylene) Truemner of Victoria, B.C., Ruth (Jacob) van Leeuwen of Waterloo and Jane (John) Kempe of London. Cherished grandad of Jaclyn van Leeuwen, Mathew Kempe and Emily Kempe. Dear brother-in-law of Joan Truemner. He will be remembered by his nieces Mary (Michel) Truemner of Toronto, Jennifer (Haluk) Gercek of Istanbul, Turkey and nephew Richard Truemner of New York, New York and their families. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Florence (Dix) Truemner, son William Truemner (1983), brothers John and William Truemner. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. A Memorial Service will be held at Grand Bend United Church, Grand Bend, on Friday, July 4, 2014, at 11a.m. Peter Challen Officiating. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Grand Bend United Church or the South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
