McLEAN, On Friday, November 8, 2013 at Exeter Villa, Evelyn (Freeborn) McLean, age 98. Predeceased by her husband Don (2006) and parents William and Olive Freeborn. Evelyn is survived by her cousins Karen Ross, Janet Ross, Susan and Andy Benarovics and several other cousins. Fondly remembered by Paul, Kate and Rebecca McCreedy of Calgary, Hilary White of Windsor and caring neighbours Margaret Stafford, Ted and Sharon Sanders all of Grand Bend. Evelyn was a graduate of the Stratford Normal School in 1934 and taught at Gadshill and Elmhurst schools in North and South Easthope and in Juliet Public School in Stratford. She retired from the Windsor Board of Education after 38 years of teaching. At Evelyn’s request cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. A special Thank You to Dr. Lam and the staff at Exeter Villa, for their care and compassion. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to Grand Bend United Church or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the T.
