MELANSON: Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Saturday, September 14, 2013, Edmond “Ted” Basil Melanson of Grand Cove Estates, Grand Bend, formerly of Sarnia and Florida, age 83. Beloved husband of Patricia “Pat” Anne (Grondin) Melanson. Loved father and father-in-law of Kerrie Melanson, Kelly Melanson, Craig Melanson all of Sarnia and Heather and Fabian Zuniga of Strathroy. Will be remembered by Pat’s family Susan Macdonald and partner Nancy Petrie of Grand Bend, Lynn Macdonald of Chatham, Elaine and Roy Daye of Toronto. Cherished grandfather of Joshua and Joey Crawford, Katie, Alex, Hannah and Noah Zuniga, Jennifer Macdonald, Chelsea Sitter, Matthew Sitter, great-granddaughter Audrina Sitter and great-grandson Jericho Sitter. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Hilda (Harold) Sykes of Stoney Creek and Dale Grondin of Windsor. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 1 p.m. The Rev. Fr. Tony Laforet officiating. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
