PERGEL: Peacefully, at Pinehaven Nursing Home, Waterloo, Monday, July 22, 2013, Violet (Tomas) Pergel, formerly of St. Joseph, RR 2, Zurich, age 91. Beloved wife of the late Charles Pergel (1974). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Charlie Pergel of Salmon Arm, BC, Dave Pergel of Port Franks, Amy Morris of London, Violet C. Pergel (Gaetan Houle) of Medicine Hat, AB, Susan Pergel of Agassiz, BC, Julia Twynstra (Peter) of Heidelberg. Loving grandmother of Melissa (Josh), Leanne (Jay), Lori, Benjamin, Jerami, Nevin, Michael, Sabrina (Brandon), Scott and great-grandmother of Tyler, Alex, Addison, Eli, Hunter, Miles and Nolan. Remembered by her nephews Ron Tomas (Maja), David Tomas and their families. Dear sister-in-law of Wanda Tomas of White Rock, BC. Predeceased by her brother Bruno, parents Matteo and Maria (Recovich) Tomas. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Thursday, from 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph, Friday, July 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Father Graham Keep Celebrant. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
