WALPER: Peacefully, at Chateau Gardens Nursing Home, Parkhill, Sunday, February 26, 2012, Lloyd George Walper, formerly of Grand Bend, age 90. Beloved husband of Norma Irene (Jennison) (Desjardine) Walper and the late Elva (Stebbins) Walper (1984). Loved father of Don and Mary Ann Walper of RR 1, Dashwood. Loving grandpa of Kevin Walper and Radka, Kimberly Walper and three great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Willis Walper and his wife Joanne, Mervyn Walper and his wife Audrey, Evelyn Johns, Jean Berends and her husband Helke. Remembered by his many nieces, nephews, their families and his stepchildren, Mona and David Hunt, late Jim Desjardine (2011) and his wife Judy, Marcia Mylan, Nancy and John Pritchard, Mark and Angela Desjardine and their families. Dear brother-in-law of Eleanor Desjardine, Ruby and Bruce Stanlake and Eveleen Jennison. Predeceased by his sister Gladys Peck, parents George and Marine (Devine) Walper. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Tuesday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.; where the funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. Pastor Charles Gingerich of the Pinery Baptist Church officiating. Interment Grand Bend Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Alzheimer Society of Huron or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Lloyd was a long time farmer, former Board Member of the Hensall District Co-Op and Blue Water Rest Home.
