PODGORSKI: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, surrounded by the love of her family, Thursday, August 14, 2008, Julianna “Julia” (Kormendy) Podgorski, of RR 2, Grand Bend, age 82. Beloved wife of the late Afanazy “Alex” Podgorski (2004). Loved mother of Carol Ann and Les Kwarciak of Dorchester, Cathy Podgorski and Richard Grenier of London. Loving grandma of David and Nicholas Kwarciak, Larysa and Matthew Grenier, Terri and Jeff Cook, Richelle and Dave Gingerich and great-grandma of Abbigail Gingerich. Dear sister-in-law of Bill and Mary Parker of Blenheim. Remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by infant son Mark, her sister Irene Parker and brother Cyril Kormendy. Born in Slovakia, Julianna frequently celebrated her heritage, but Canada was her home. She taught her children to honour their heritage and love their country. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Family and Parish Prayers with C.W.L. at the Funeral Home, Sunday at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Grand Bend, Monday, August 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. The Rev.
